State Revenue Office (2002)SRO is a $5million world-class purpose built revenue collection facility employing over 200 staff. SRO relocated 40 per cent of its operations from Melbourne CBD to University of Ballarat Technology Park (UBTP), creating more than 180 skilled employment opportunities for people from the local region.
The Ballarat facility houses the majority of the SRO’s operations area and utilises state-of-the art technology. UBTP was chosen as a result of a feasibility study that identified Ballarat as the ideal regional centre to host the new SRO facility.
The University of Ballarat Technology Park puts SRO in close proximity to an existing cluster of business and technology initiatives, as well as education and training opportunities for staff at the nearby University of Ballarat.
