Uniti moves to the University's Technology Park

Uniti moves to the University's Technology Park

Ballarat District Nursing and Healthcare’s software development and application arm, Uniti, has moved to the University of Ballarat’s Technology Park.

Uniti has designed, developed and marketed a range of software in connection with community care client management, for use within regional hospitals and community health agencies across Victoria and interstate.

Carolyn Barrie, Chief Executive Officer of BDNH, indicated that its business unit Uniti had achieved outstanding success over recent years and had secured software licenses with 120 health providers.

She said that it was important that this BDNH business unit operated within an environment that could provide enhanced levels of expertise, support and networking.

The Technology Park will provide a strong impetus for further developing our range of software products and increasing our profile within the health industry sector, Ms Barrie said.

Mal Vallance, Director of Business Development with the University of Ballarat, said that the location of Uniti and BDNH within the Greenhill Enterprise Centre was an excellent outcome for the respective organisations.

“We place significant focus on supporting and developing Information and Communication Technologies, particularly those that operate within the health sector,” Mr Vallance said.

“There are enormous synergies between the mission of the Technology Park and the aspirations of Uniti and BDNH.”
